My new blog

I'm not sure why I'm staring this, other than to share. (Ok..Cassie told me I should) Share pictures of Vincent and us for those we do not see all the time. Share happenings in our lives for anyone interested!

I'm not sure where to start exactly, so I will start with my favorite subject: Vincent.

Our beautiful little boy turned 15 months old yesterday. (Here is where I make some remark like 'can you believe it's been 15 months??') Yes, time marches on. We enjoy him more and more everyday and find new frustrations everyday.
I have thought it is sad how little we are told about what it will be like to be pregnant. I have vowed to all my friends that I will share all details (both pleasant and unpleasant). However, it is insane how little you are told about raising a child. I suppose that is because they are all different and what works for one will most likely not work for another. At any rate, throughout Vincent's life thus far, every new milestone, development, realization has been met with a different, frustrating, hair-pulling,'we are never having any more', challenge.

I will spare you the 'he wouldn't sleep..for the love of God!!!' and all the joy that came along with a newborn. Now we have a toddler. Our frustrations are new and different. For example, 'honey, we think it's really great that you exploring the world, but could you please quit climbing on EVERYTHING in your path?' I know it seems fun, but when he's hit is head/arm/leg/elbow...for the elevintybillionth time (that was for you babe)..it gets old. The notion of 'you can't turn your back for a second' has a whole new meaning. They aren't kidding, you really can't. If I do, he will have pulled everything out of my purse, pulled everything out of the kitchen cabinets, knocked over a cooler full of water, unrolled a whole roll of paper towels, and be playing in the toilet before I know what happened.

The shaking his head 'no' lately has been a real treat as well. Especially because whenever I ask, 'Can mommy have a kiss?' that's what I get.

It's all worth it though when he does his little dances, says a new word, or gives you a big baby hug.

Here are some pictures of our little man! I will try to update with more pictures every so often!
